Design

LANmark ULTIM is Aginode’s newest Category 6A connector, manufactured and tested to the latest International, American and European cabling standards and designed to meet or exceed the stringent quality and performance criteria needed to support all applications up to 500 MHz, including 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
As a result of its ingenious IDC design, the LANmark ULTIM connector accepts both solid and stranded copper conductors, with wire sizes from AWG26 to AWG22, supporting all relevant cable types.
1.27 micron (50 microinch) gold plated front contacts offer superior mechanical durability, ensuring at least 2500 plug insertion cycles and supporting Power over Ethernet transmission up to 90W without degrading effect.
A full metal die-cast housing offers the LANmark ULTIM connector immunity against Alien Crosstalk and Electromagnetic Interferences.

Applications

In conjunction with LANmark-6A cable and ULTIM patch cords, the LANmark ULTIM connector supports all applications specified up to 500 MHz including but not limited to:

• 10 BASE-T Ethernet
• 100 BASE-T Fast Ethernet
• 1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet
• 2.5GBase-T 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
• 5GBase-T 5 Gigabit Ethernet
• 10G BASE-T 10 Gigabit Ethernet IEEE 802.3
• PoE++ Type 4 (IEEE 802.3bt) including IEC 60512-9-3 (test 9c)
• and IEC 60512-99-002 (test 99b)
• Future Cat 6A and Class EA applications

Installation

The ULTIM connector is a one-piece design, with a wire organiser as sole accessory, guaranteeing infallible management of the twisted pairs.
Simply closing the connector top and bottom covers ensure fast and effortless IDC termination without the need for any tools.
The installation finishes with laying the cable drain wire in its place and fastening the cable clamp to establish the earthing and bonding.
The ULTIM connector, with its Snap-In format, is compatible with all LANmark Snap-In structural hardware, such as:

• LANmark Snap-In patch panels (fixed, sliding and angled)
• LANmark 6-port and 12-port Zone Distribution Boxes
• LANmark Snap-In outlet modules (UK, US, European and German style)

Performance

LANmark ULTIM connector meets or exceeds the
requirements for Category 6A connecting hardware as
described in ISO/IEC 11801, IEC 60603-7-51 and ANSI/TIA
568.2-D.
In conjunction with LANmark-6A cable it supports all 2, 3 and 4
connector models as specified in these standards, as well as
very short link and channel configurations, which make it also
an ideal solution for Data Centres, avoiding cable length
excess in the racks.
In addition, extended channel distances can be supported,
including PoE, according to the application used.

Independent lab certification

The ULTIM connector is certified by 3P for connecting
hardware, PoE++ compliance and various Link and Channel
configurations.

Guarantees

Links and Channels built with LANmark-6A (or higher) cable
and ULTIM connector and cords are guaranteed to meet or
exceed the requirements of the above mentioned standards.
A full Class EA System Warranty for a period of 25 years,
including parts, installation, Channel performance and
application support, can be obtained, following the Aginode
LANmark Warranty application process.
