In Grimsås we have been working with sustainability for decades. Every day we try to take a step further towards a more sustainable society. 

We try to optimize our products using the exact amount of material necessary - something which is in our customers interest just as much as in ours.

Nexans has signed the UN Global Compact. Thus, we are committed to living by the basic principles of human rights, working conditions, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

We have decided to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases. Our production will be carbon neutral by 2030 and our energy consumption comes from green sources - water and wind power.

We have replaced our old oil boiler with a wood chip burner that heats our premises in Grimsås. The wood chips we fire come from old used cable drums that can no longer be repaired and from disposable pallets.
