FTTH Press trip in Sweden

Visit of FTTH installations of Stokab and Nexans' production site in Grimsas

On April 23 and 24, 17 journalists coming from 8 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Lituania, Sweden and UK) participated to the FTTH press trip organized in Sweden by the Corporate Communication department.

During this press trip, the journalists had first of all  the exceptional opportunity to visit the brand new FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations (node) of Stokab, the owner of Stockholm's ‘Citynet’ broadband infrastructures which has been running a huge FTTH programme for the last few years.

The Stokab node is fully equipped with Nexans cables and equipments such as Nexans’ N3S  (Nexans Space Saving Solution) High Density fibre system which allows installation and handling of a large number of optical cross-connections in a very small space (footprint).

This customer testimonial and visit illustrated the speeches made an hour before by the Nexans experts (Véronique Stappers and Christer Larsson) during which they insisted on the diversity of innovative products and engineering solutions provided by Nexans to the whole scope of operators worldwide.

On the second day, the journalists visited the production site of Grimsas in Sweden. The visit was focused on the manufacturing of ribbon fibre cables using slotted cores and loose tubes fibre optic cables.
