Nexans and Emtelle join forces to supply optical fiber solutions for Swedish government rail projects
Trafikverket, the Swedish Government’s Transport Administration, has awarded Nexans a contract to supply optical fiber cable solutions to upgrade the communication systems serving Sweden’s rail network. Emtelle Technologies will supply microducts and microduct bundles for the project.
Red Eléctrica de España awards Nexans with a turnkey contract worth around 50M Euros to manufacture and install an interconnection cable between Majorca and Menorca
Red Eléctrica de España has awarded Nexans with a contract worth around 50 million euros to manufacture and install a power cable that will connect the islands of Majorca and Menorca in Spain. The contract was signed only 20 days after the Spanish Council of Ministers granted administrative authorisation and declared it as a public utility project. The interconnection is due to be up and running in 2020.
Nexans will supply a subsea power cable and associated accessories for the
Northwester 2 offshore wind farm in Belgium. Once up and running the offshore wind farm will provide electricity to power around 220,000 Belgian homes.
To provide Africa and South America with a faster and more stable Internet connection, Nexans manufactured and successfully tested 6,000 km of submarine fiber optic cables for the South Atlantic Inter Link (SAIL) project connecting Cameroon to Brazil.
The prospectus for admission to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Paris of a bond of € 325 million bearing interest at 3.75% per annum and maturing on August 8, 2023, was approved by the AMF under number 18-361.
